This custom-handmade sculpture is of Carcharhinus longimanus, more commonly known as the Oceanic whitetip. It is most famous for sleeping in "puppy piles" as pups and befriending small schools of pilot fish.
It was crafted in polymer clay, a material that hardens when baked in the oven, and then painted in bronze and gold. The bronze is dry brushed with emerald green to give it a rusting look. The base is live edge wood, cut in a flat round.
